Description We’re working with a manufacturing client who is looking to hire a Product Marketing Manager. It’s a full-time, hybrid (3/2) position north of Boston. Must have B2B and B2C manufacturing experience.We are seeking a talented and dynamic Product Marketing Manager to manage our client’s product line's strategy and portfolio. The role involves guiding the product portfolio from its inception to conclusion, actively participating in the product introduction team, carrying out market research and becoming a knowledgeable resource for product comparison. You will be developing a compelling 'reason to buy' and strategies to attract customers, working closely with sales and marketing to put forth an effective sales proposition, managing product development, channel launches, and inventory, and performing product forecasting. The role requires domestic and international travel. Reporting directly to management, you will be expected to work independently yet align well with the larger team.Responsibilities:
Establish and manage the product portfolio strategy
Oversee the product portfolio life cycle
Take part in the cross-functional Product Introduction Team
Conduct market research for purchase trends and future direction
Benchmark product and portfolio technical, financial, and market aspects
Devise and communicate the product's buying reasons and purchasing strategy
Develop a sales proposition in collaboration with Sales and Marketing
Oversee product development, targeted channel launches, and inventory
Meet sales targets, margin and profit goals, and undertake product forecasting
Requirements
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or a technology-related field
A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management
Comprehensive understanding of retail or commercial business
Ability to influence others in the absence of a direct reporting relationship
Self-driven, capable of working with minimal supervision
Proven experience in working with a cross-functional team
Familiarity with SAP, Business Warehouse reporting systems is advantageous
Knowledge of LED and/or Lighting is preferred
