Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Distribution Supervisor to oversee nightly bread segregation, order staging, and delivery preparation. This role works closely with drivers to ensure routes are organized accurately and dispatched on time. The supervisor must be prepared to cover a delivery route if a driver does not show. After 1:30 AM, the position transitions to on-call support, responding to route or operations issues as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise nightly distribution, order segregation, staging, and loading activities
Verify route manifests and coordinate with drivers to resolve discrepancies
Maintain workflow efficiency and accuracy across distribution operations
Cover or assist with a delivery route when needed due to call-offs or no-shows (additional compensation provided when performing a route)
Serve as on-call supervisor from 1:30 AM to 8:00 AM to support drivers and operational needs
Monitor safety practices and enforce company policies and procedures
Complete nightly reports and communicate updates to management
Qualifications
Experience in distribution, logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to lead and support a small team during overnight operations
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; route or delivery experience a plus
Dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently at night
Compensation
$16–$17 per hour for on-site shift hours (8:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
$10–$12 per hour for on-call coverage (1:30 AM – 8:00 AM)
Additional compensation is paid when the supervisor covers a delivery route
Total compensation varies based on hours worked, call activity, and experience
