Plastic Fabrication Facility that specializes in retail displays, tradeshow displays and industrial plastic components.
Looking to add a CNC operator to manage production and workflow on our CNC Mills and CNC Routers.
We currently have two 5x10 CNC Routers, Haas VF-2 CNC Milling Center, Dynapath A3 CNC Mill and an older Bridgeport CNC Mill that is being rebuilt. We mainly cut plastic sheets, composites and MDF sheet material. We also cut light metals when needed and on rare occasions a steel insert or two.
We handle everything from engineering to setup. There is a large variety of work that comes through our doors and all of them have their own unique challenges. We have a good designer on staff already. So ideally a more experienced machinist with solid knowledge of: setup, cutter selection, tool touch off, part pick-up and part zero, chip-load calculation for speeds and feeds, work holding, fixturing, fixture zero, 2nd op set-up, soft jaw part holding and machining, would be ideal. The majority of what we machine is sheet material, but we are a true job shop that cuts significantly higher complex projects than just signs and letters.
We do use special ground cutters specific to our industry but a good machinist should have no problem making the transition.
Requirements:
-A valid Drivers License and reliable mode of transportation
-A Highschool Diploma, 2 yr or 4 yr College degree is a plus
-Good written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to work on a team and be self motivated
-Good math skills
-Willingness to learn
-Ability to follow instructions
-A positive work ethic
Skillsets needed for this job:
-Knowledge of running a CNC mill or router
-Knowledge of CAD/CAM (we have Fusion, BOBCAD, Cimagrafi and Kubotek Key Creator.
-Ability to 2D, 3D design and tool pathing is a plus.
-Ability to lift 50lbs.
