North American Controller

Description We are offering a role for a Regional Controller in our manufacturing industry located in Hastings, Michigan. This role is crucial to our operations as it involves overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial analysis, including U.S. Payroll. The ideal candidate will serve as a key resource and subject matter expert for the management team, providing guidance on finance-related matters and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations.Responsibilities: Manage financial reports, overseeing the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Analyze financial data, reviewing financial information to assist in decision-making processes. Prepare budgets, developing annual budgets and forecasts to guide the plant's financial planning. Project future financial outcomes based on current and historical data. Ensure all financial practices adhere to regulatory requirements and company policies. Offer financial advice and support to plant management on various fiscal matters. Supervise financial transactions, overseeing accounting controls and the various financial transactions within the plant. Administer the plant's cost control functions, including cost distributions and savings initiatives. Lead the process for financial and capital expenditure planning. Identify and manage financial risks to ensure the plant's economic stability.Skills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems. Experience with CapEx and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning. Understanding of Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP). Familiarity with Budget Processes and Compliance. Knowledge in Finance and Standard Cost Accounting. Proficiency in Budgeting - Forecasting and Ad Hoc Analysis. Experience with Month End Close, Financial Analysis, and Financial Reporting. Management skills. Familiarity with Baan software. Requirements Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in a Regional Controller role within the manufacturing industry Advanced knowledge of Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, preferably Baan Proficiency in handling complex Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) Experience in managing CapEx, Budget Processes, Compliance, and Finance functions Expertise in Standard Cost Accounting and Budgeting - Forecasting Strong capability in conducting Ad Hoc Analysis and Month End Close procedures Proven track record in Financial Analysis and Financial Reporting Demonstrated Management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders Must have the legal right to work in the specified location without must be eligible to work in the U.S. Must be able to pass a thorough all candidates required to undergo background check as part of the recruitment process A professional qualification in finance or accounting would be advantageous.
