Job Title: Traffic EngineerJob DescriptionThe Traffic Engineer will specialize in transportation and traffic engineering projects, specifically working with traffic analysis, signal design, and transportation design. They will join the local team in Lansing, Michigan.Responsibilities
Perform engineering and design for traffic signal sequencing, traffic analysis, traffic signal design, traffic phasing and timing, and traffic modeling
Create engineering plans for traffic signals, pavement markings, traffic control, and construction staging plans
Utilize engineering software programs including Synchro Studio, HCS (Highway Capacity Software), and AutoTurn
Prepare contract documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates
Collaborate with Project Manager and other design staff on projects
Essential Skills
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering
PE, or EIT working towards PE
3+ years of experience with Traffic Signal Design for civil engineering projects
Proficiency with SYNCHRO, Highway Capacity Software (HCS), or MicroStation
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Civil 3D, AutoTurn, TransModeler Sidra
Licensed PE
Work EnvironmentOffice located in Dewitt, outside of Lansing. Opportunity for a hybrid schedule - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. Potential for a fully remote schedule in the future. Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, around 40 hours per week.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
