Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Buyer in the machinery manufacturing industry. This role is based in Williamston, Michigan and offers the flexibility to work remotely when necessary. The Sr. Buyer will be responsible for creating purchase orders, maintaining frequent communication with Production and Finance/Accounting departments, and managing relations with suppliers.Responsibilities: Create and manage purchase orders in a timely and accurate manner Work closely with the Production department to anticipate and fulfill parts forecasting needs Collaborate with the Finance/Accounting department to ensure proper timing and ordering of parts Maintain regular communication with suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery of orders Negotiate with suppliers/vendors to reach favorable terms and prices Use ERP systems proficiently to track and manage orders Provide excellent customer service and resolve any credit inquiries Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action for delinquent payments Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer credit applications Understand and utilize CRM, Crystal Reports, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Management System, About Time, Buying Processes, Compliance, Customer Service, and Documentation skills in daily tasks. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in CRM and Crystal Reports. Extensive experience in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions. Familiarity with Management Systems and About Time software. Knowledge of buying processes in the machinery manufacturing industry. Committed to compliance with industry regulations and company policies. Exceptional customer service skills. Ability to prepare and maintain necessary documentation. Proven experience in a senior buyer role or similar position in the machinery manufacturing industry. Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
