Description We are offering a long-term contract position for an Accounts Payable Analyst in the manufacturing industry located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. The role entails working closely with various team members on payable invoices and resolutions, using advanced analytical skills to reconcile and resolve outstanding invoice issues, and maintaining a lead role for the ERP system and OCR application Esker for the respective business. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with various team members on payable invoices and resolutions. Use analytical skills to reconcile and resolve outstanding invoice issues. Maintain a lead role for the ERP system and OCR application Esker for the respective business. Assist in working with auditors to provide information and material. Ensure proper approvals follow DOA and SOX controls. Process AP invoices as needed to assist the team during critical business needs. Communicate professionally with vendors, co-workers, other internal departments, and management. Create and generate ACH payments, checks, and domestic and international wires. Work with banks on positive pay file issues and/or wire banking issues. Calculate use tax where appropriate within local laws. Enjoy a variety of duties in fast-paced environment and take initiative to use experience in AP to assist in decision-making skills. Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is desirable Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is an asset Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is required Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary Ability to handle various Accounting Functions Experience in Accounts Payable (AP) is necessary Knowledge of Check Processing is a must Proficient in Data Entry Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies Familiarity with SAP is an advantage Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of standard accounting principles and procedures.
