job detailsjob summary:A R&D Technician is needed for a biomedical/biotechnology engineering firm and multinational manufacturer of medical devices in the Minnetonka, MN area. This role involves independently supporting R&D teams in developing and testing products, materials, and processes, while ensuring quality compliance and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle.location: Minnetonka, Minnesotajob type: Contractsalary: $29.70 - 37.92 per hourwork hours: 8am to 5pmeducation: Associatesresponsibilities:
Develop concepts and construct prototypes/products from those concepts.
Propose creative solutions with solid rationales and contribute to design and process ideas.
Organize, coordinate, and execute the building and testing of prototypes/products based on engineering instructions.
Help project teams establish specifications and quality standards.
Utilize internal resources and qualified external vendors to assist engineering teams with obtaining supplies and services.
Serve as a resource to other employees.
Communicate project status to project teams.
Quality Systems Duties:
Ensure quality in all aspects of work by maintaining compliance with quality requirements.
Qualifications:
AA Degree or equivalent work experience in a related field and three years of relevant experience.
Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
Excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience with Instron Blue Hill and Wave Matrix.
Experience with LabView.
