Job Title: Electrical Panel DesignerJob DescriptionThis company is a growing company in the business of sales and service of electric controls, electrical motors and power transmission products. Come work with us in the panel shop! We build custom control panels and custom motor control centers for integrators, EPCs, and OEMs. Ideal candidate will have secondary schooling from a technical school or university in an electrical field. Responsibilities: Design and specify panel layout, generate drawings for schematics and shop manufacturing through field wiring drawings. Develop and review project-related drawings and documentation packages such as wiring diagrams, BOMs, one lines, cable specifications, network diagrams, manuals, specifications and regulatory submittals. Provide technical guidance, direction and review of a systems design, development and integration plan. Reviewing project documents for scope, presentation and technical accuracy. Specify components in electrical panels. Excellent communication skills to coordinate design between customers, builders and department managers. Assisting with the commissioning of industrial electrical and control systems.Perform other functions as necessary. Hard Skills

Familiarity with using design programs like AutoCAD Electrical, Solidworks or Draftsite.

Degree in an engineering or technology field from University or College.

Experience Specifying electrical and control components.

Knowledge in the power, control and automation industry.

Ability to read and understand a wiring schematic.

Knowledge of UL standards is preferred, not required.

Attention to detail while performing to meet deadlines.
