Tax Manager - Public

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager in the public accounting sector, based in Mankato, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be integral to our team, entrusted with the execution of tax-related responsibilities, maintaining client relationships, and supporting business development initiatives. This role will also involve strategic planning and research. Responsibilities: Review and prepare tax returns with accuracy and efficiency. Provide tax planning services to our clients and manage client relationships. Conduct research on complex tax matters and stay updated with tax laws and regulations. Support the partners with strategic planning and business development. Utilize analytical skills to explain complex tax concepts. Use Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem Fx, and CCH Sales Tax to streamline accounting functions. Perform annual income tax provision and auditing tasks. Ensure compliance with tax laws and handle entity formation tasks. Foster and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service. Guide and mentor entry level team members, demonstrating strong leadership skills. Requirements Minimum Qualifications Must hold a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role such as Tax Manager within a public sector Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Active CPA Previous experience using ADP - Financial Services Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in CaseWare is essential Prior experience with CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax Strong knowledge in Accounting Functions Ability to handle Annual Income Tax Provision Experience in Auditing Strong understanding of Compliance regulations and procedures Must have experience in Entity Formation We prefer this position be in office but are open to the possibility of a remote candidate who lives in Minnesota and can commute to our office location for meetings and other important events.
