B&R Auto & Truck Salvage is seeking a highly motivated Excavator operator who is responsible for operating excavators at our long-standing business of over 60 years. Responsibilities:
Inspect and maintain equipment on a daily basis to ensure safe and efficient use
Operates the excavator to perform a variety of tasks including unloading customers, loading semis and cleaning up the area.
Operate a payloader to help keep the area clean and to move cars around.
Ensure proper operation of equipment by performing regular checks on their functionality
Provide preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is safe and operating properly
Regularly clean equipment to preserve its quality and functionality
Report needs for larger repairs to the appropriate parties
Communicates effectively with crew members, and managers
Occasional labor work when machinery work is slow
Adheres to all safety rules
Maintaining the work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner on a continuous basis
Other job duties as assigned
