Description We are seeking an Accounting Manager/Supervisor for our Non-Profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The successful candidate will lead a team and also be hands on with the process. Responsibilities: Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members Handle hands-on processes within the accounting department Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including billing/receivables, cash receipts, revenue and vendor relations regarding billing invoices. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles Coordinate and complete annual audits Provide recommendations for improving systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions Meet financial accounting objectives Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close Work closely with the company auditors to ensure compliance Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactionsSkills: Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Familiarity with ERP Solutions Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) Knowledge of Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Billing Functions Experience with Approved Invoices Ability to Manage Vendor RelationshipsRequirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems Experience with ERP Solutions is essential Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) is necessary Ability to perform various Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management Familiarity with Billing Functions Experience with handling Approved Invoices Ability to Manage Vendor Relationships effectively A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary Proven leadership skills and ability to oversee a team of accountants Strong understanding of tax codes, laws, and regulations Familiarity with non-profit accounting principles and regulations is a plus.
