We are a locally owned and operated trucking company based in Western Wisconsin seeking a Supervisory-Level Diesel Truck Mechanic to lead our in-house maintenance operations.
This is a hands-on, leadership position ideal for a seasoned diesel technician with strong mechanical expertise, computer literacy, and the ability to coordinate with external vendors and manufacturers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise and perform maintenance and repairs on Class 8 diesel trucks and trailers
Schedule and prioritize work based on truck availability – must be flexible with hours (nights/weekends as needed)
Act as a liaison with third-party repair shops and warranty reps to ensure timely, quality service
Maintain maintenance records using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
Assist in budgeting and managing parts inventory
Provide leadership and support to junior techs
Ensure DOT compliance and proper documentation of all work
Perform road calls when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS:
5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (fleet or dealership)
Previous supervisory or lead tech experience preferred
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word)
Valid Class A CDL – required
In-depth knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, emissions systems, and electronic controls
Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools
Must provide your own standard tools (specialty tools provided by company)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Competitive salary: $70,000 – $90,000/year, depending on experience
