Principal R&D Engineer - Technical Lead (Plymouth, MN)Working alongside cross-functional experts in the field of ultrasonic imaging, you will lead a technical team developing new, cardiac catheters through design, prototyping, and testing to ensure that product designs meet specifications, and identifying, recommending, and implementing solutions for complex technical issues.Your role:

Leading imaging catheter product development efforts from concept through commercialization stages including serving as project core team R&D technical leader

Understanding the technology and key product features that ensure clinical and commercial success

Providing work direction, technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to a team of R&D engineers across design, prototype development, test method and test flow development, and verification and validation activities

Leading technical and design reviews in accordance with product development quality and business processes

Developing strong working relationships and collaborating with functional team members outside of R&D required for product development to ensure project success

You're the right fit if:

You’ve acquired 10+ years working in product development in the medical device industry with a minimum of 5 years in disposable cardiac catheter development. Diagnostic ultrasound imaging catheter preferred.

Your background includes experience working in FDA class II or class III cardiac catheter product development and experience with complex cardiac catheters such as cardiac ultrasound, force sensing, impedance sensing or electromagnetic tracking catheters.

You have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomechanical or Biomedical) or related scientific field. Knowledge includes design for manufacturability.

Philips Transparency DetailsThe pay range for this position in (Plymouth, MN) is $122,000 to $209,000The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.  In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
