Description We are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Specialist to join our client's team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, your primary role will be to manage and process invoices accurately and promptly, manage vendor and contractor expectations, and ensure proper accounting procedures are adhered to. This role is within the service industry and offers a long term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports Differentiate between an invoice with a Purchase Order and one without, and process accordingly Sort and distribute incoming mail related to account payables Prioritize invoices according to payment terms Prepare month-end accruals for invoices unprocessed and/or waiting for approvals Respond to all vendor and internal inquiries timely and accurately Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices Process integration supply files bi-monthly.Please note that all candidates are required to provide 2 recent supervisor or manager references in order to be considered for employment.Please submit your resume and call Jordan Lynch at 651-293-3973 for review and consideration.Requirements Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) management Experience with processing payable invoices Familiarity with weekly account payable tasks Understanding of account reconciliation procedures Knowledge of sales tax regulations and application Ability to handle purchase orders effectively High level of organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Detail-oriented and highly accurate in processing financial data Proficiency in using relevant accounting software and tools Relevant certification or degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar field is preferred A strong ethical framework for handling sensitive financial information.
