Job DescriptionAn employer is looking for an Associate Controller for one of our top utility clients in the Nation. This role is going to play a pivotal part in a very large program that the organization is actively laying the foundation for now. The Associate Controller is responsible for managing the IT Portfolio, which includes investments, projects, financials, and IT services. They also ensure alignment and achievement of plans and IT strategic objectives. You will be expected to follow the requirements for the programs communication plan and provide needed financial information on weekly/monthly/quarterly as required. You will provide support to the Sr. Project Coordinator with follow up issues, guide them with processes, and step in for assistance on financials as needed. You will be the liaison between the Program Leadership, the AppDev Finance group, and the Project Coordinators, to ensure processes are being followed and needs are being met. Being the intermediary for communicated needs/issues/resolutions for the above groups and meetings to be cohesive between those groups and the leadership and delivery teams. You will provide quality assurance for published financial information that goes on SharePoint, PBI, leadership and stakeholder presentations, formal communications. 1+ years of experience within a Portfolio Controller role or a Financial Controller role with emphasis on Capital Project/Program Support
5+ years of finance and accounting experience within a project coordination role
Experience working within a Project Management Office or supporting multimillion dollar project portfolios
Expert within Excel and PowerPoint and Microsoft suite proficiency.
Month-end processing, accruals, invoicing, in-servicing, portfolio reporting, portfolio planning, forecasting and continual process improvements experience
Portfolio financial ownership experience; including planning, resource management budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking,
Strong written and verbal communication. Ability to summarize financial data for communications and presentations. - PBI and SharePoint experience is a plus. null
