Employees are required to sign a telework agreement.Under current bargaining contract, this role will be eligible for up to $5,000 a year in Student Loan Reimbursement after 18 months of service.Job Duties:A Consumer Mediator 2 investigates complaints concerning the interconnection process, mediates disputes surrounding the interconnection process, conducts research as necessary, summarizes in writing the mediation and resolution of a dispute, provides consultations while preserving confidentiality and makes recommendations to resolve conflicts between parties. The employee will answer inquiries from the public and stakeholders including written communication and prepare responses as well as collecting complaint data and preparing data reports. This position will facilitate outreach to stakeholders on issues related to interconnection disputes and assist in the development of educational materials The employee may work with Commission regulatory and legal staff to manage all interconnection related inquiries, complaints, and requests for Commission facilitated dispute resolution and to identify problems and patterns that may be addressed through policy, law or regulation.Minimum QualificationsOne (1) year of professional level experience mediating complaints or resolving disputes, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in dispute resolution, business administration or public administration.AND

Knowledge or experience with electric utility regulation.

Knowledge or experience with investigations, research, data reporting and writing formal reports.

Knowledge or experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Experience with interconnection system issues

A degree in in law, public policy, electrical engineering or related field will substitute for professional experience, as follows:Doctorate degree = 2 years of experienceMaster's degree = 18 months of experienceBachelor's degree = 12 months of experienceAssociate’s degree = 6 months of experienceMinimum Qualifications assessed at interview:

Ability to conduct research, investigations and to perform complex analyses of regulatory and policy issues.

Ability to manage workload and multiple projects at a time.

Ability to mediate conflict in an impartial matter

Ability to analyze policy issues

Written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of utility tariffs and interconnection standards.

Knowledge of state policy programs.

Experience leading discussions around technical and legal disputes related to interconnection.

Experience working with people of diverse backgrounds and marginalized communities.
