Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Retirement Benefits Consultant in St. Paul, Minnesota. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for a client's retirement plans. Your duties will include implementing and managing retirement plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and overseeing the contribution process. Responsibilities: Act as the primary contact for clients' retirement plans Oversee the implementation and management of retirement plans Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards Conduct annual compliance testing and make necessary corrections Manage trust accounting and prepare required annual reports Complete IRS Forms 5500, 8955-SSA, and related schedules Handle plan distribution and loan paperwork Consult with clients as needed and resolve any inquiries Interpret plan documents and provisions Document all client-related activity Participate in Annual Review and Planning Meetings Facilitate the removal of terminated employees from the plan as applicable Prepare and deliver required participant notices to clients Process participant loans and distributions in coordination with clients, participants, and recordkeepers/custodians.Requirements A minimum of 7 years experience in a similar role Proficiency in FT William Expertise in 401k - RRSP Administration Demonstrable skills in Auditing Knowledge of Benefit Functions and Claim Administration Competency in Cobra Administration Understanding of Pensions and Defined Benefit Pension Plan Experience with Pension - Profit Sharing and Pension Administration Familiarity with Pension Funds and Pension Plans Proficiency in Matching 401 Expertise in Retirement, Retirement Account, and Retirement BenefitsRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
