Deputy Title IX Coordinator The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for the position of Deputy Title IX Coordinator.Position Details Location Hattiesburg 118 College DriveHattiesburg, Mississippi, 39406-0001United States Division Title IX Office Position Type Staff Employment Status Full Time Grant Funded No Pay Grade E10 Posting Close Date Open Until Filled Job Summary The Deputy Coordinator will assist the Title IX Coordinator in all aspects of implementation of Title IX, VAWA, and Campus Save Act. Will hold primary responsibility for the investigation and resolution of sexual misconduct allegations, as well as coordination of programming outreach to the campus community at all sites. Will report directly to the University Title IX Coordinator, through the auspices of the Office of the General Counsel. This position may require that the incumbent work other locations such as Gulf Park and/or GCRL campus as needed.Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Implementation of the investigatory process in an unbiased and thorough manner.

Conduct intake of incoming Title IX cases.

Facilitation of Title IX Office administrative tasks.

Coordinate training, prevention and education efforts regarding gender discrimination and sexual harassment for the campus community at all sites. Articulate knowledge of Title IX, VAWA and Campus Save Act.

Work with varied constituents in a manner that creates trust and builds collaborative relationships. Employ superior communication skills, both written and oral, with constituents in a large setting and in one on one settings.

Use Computer software to generate reports, as well as routine correspondence.

Represent the Title IX Coordinator and Title IX Office as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications A Master’s degree in higher education administration, psychology, social work or related field and at least one year of Title IX and investigative processes (or equivalent experience)-or-A Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration, psychology, social work or related field and at least three years of Title IX investigator training and investigative processes (or equivalent experience).Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with constituent groups

Experience with programming and/or experience with conducting presentations to varying group sizes

Demonstrated ability to perform all essential functions listed in the job description

Working knowledge of Title IX, Office for Civil Rights guidance and related Title IX legislation and regulations
