ResponsibilitiesA. Skills and Abilities

Stocks, cleans and checks for outdates on anesthesia carts and anesthesia supply room.

Orders anesthesia supplies.

Sets up IV fluids

Cleans anesthesia equipment, changes breathing circuits and EKG pads after each case

Is familiar with equipment and requirements of pediatric patients. Anticipates needs and has everything prepared.

Assists with OR room turnover.

Check and change out oxygen, nitrous air tanks, when empty of anesthesia machine

Assists Anesthesia with regional and spinal blocks. May assist with medication administration during regional block under direct supervision of anesthesiologist

Assist in applying EKG monitors, blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter and temperature monitors.

Assists with anesthesia induction

Retrieves supplies at request of anesthesia personnel.

Cleaning and maintenance of specified equipment.

B. Clinical Quality:

Delivers safe patient care according to facility policy and procedure.

Ensures provision of patient care daily in an organized and timely manner.

Demonstrates knowledge of specific responsibilities in all emergency situations.

Ability to initiate and implement basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (BLS).

Interacts with all patients, families, visitors and fellow teammates in a mature, responsible manner to ensure a positive and professional facility environment.

Displays a caring and responsive attitude and conducts all activities respecting patient, family and teammate rights and expectations.

Maintains confidentiality of all facility and patient information as required by facility policy.

Considers age specific needs in communication.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent.

One to three years of experience preferred.

USD $18.00/Hr. USD $23.00/Hr.
