Help us help others, and join Team Unum today!General Summary:This position is responsible for completing a variety of proactive connections through various channels to build and foster a positive relationship with both prospective client leads, existing clients, and insurance agents interested in becoming contracted to sell Colonial Life products. This customer and field facing role will directly influence new client acquisitions as well as additional sales and improved client retention with existing clients, all while enhancing the Colonial Life brand. This front-line professional is accountable for creating a consistent and positive lead nurturing experience to drive prospective client interest. They will conduct initial decision maker interest meetings with prospective clients and connect them with contracted sales agents when ready to move forward as a client. They will also conduct interest conversations with prospective agents and brokers and connect them with the appropriate field representative. The incumbent will also be responsible for overseeing existing client connections, identifying and anticipating their needs, reacting and expediting the resolution of any identified questions or issues, and ensuring each client has a strong, active sales agent relationship.This role is responsible for partnering and consulting with our sales organization and internal business partners to drive frequent sales connections and retention of Colonial Life’s clients across the country. This includes collaborating with sales leaders to implement strategies that achieve sales and retention objectives through a client-first lens.Candidate must be AL&H licensed to solicit insurance or have the ability to obtain their AL&H insurance license in states within assigned territory within 45 days of hire.Duties & Responsibilities:

Achieve company new client digital channel acquisition metrics through aggressive outreach processes, consultation, negotiations, and positioning of Colonial Life and Unum offerings within profit and product design guidelines.

Achieve company existing client connection and customer satisfaction metrics.

Nurture prospective client leads from a variety of digital platforms and industry events through timely, personalized, and multi-channel outreaches and follow-ups.

Acquire a broad knowledge of Colonial Life and Unum’s group and voluntary product portfolio and service offerings and how to position sales solutions to brokers and clients.

Conduct prospective and in-force client interest meetings to better understand needs and position key products, services and solutions to maximize enrollment likelihood and effectiveness.

Oversee in-force client connections through digitally automated outreaches, higher touch connections when needed, and respond timely to responses from clients with questions or needs.

Connect leads ready to move forward with the appropriate sales rep in market, and ensure timely action taken on sales opportunities identified with both prospective and existing clients.

Document all outreach and outcomes for tracking and process improvement.

Job Specifications

Bachelor’s degree required or at least 4 years of similar experience

Demonstrated ability to establish a leadership presence with internal and external partners along with a strong ability to create relationships

Excellent interpersonal, collaboration and presentation skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities

Highly energized, motivated self-starter who thrives on a challenge and in a fast-paced environment

High level of organization, implementation/execution and project management abilities
