Accounting Specialist

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for an Accounting Specialist in Meridian, Idaho. The primary function of this role is to manage and oversee various accounting processes in an industry setting. The Accounting Specialist will be an integral part of our team, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial information.Responsibilities: Oversee B2B and B2C accounts receivable, processing invoicing and applying customer payments accurately Assist with weekly accounts receivable reporting and collection efforts Take charge of accounts payable, including entering AP invoices and assisting with weekly check runs Uphold strong internal control measures and ensure they are consistently followed Communicate professionally with customers and internal departments to resolve inquiries regarding invoices and payment status Share company P-Card administration duties with other staff accountants and ensure compliance with company policies Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and standardization Assist Senior Accountants with month-end duties as needed, including adjusting journal entries and account reconciliation Requirements Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required Demonstrated ability to manage Accounting Functions effectively Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Knowledge and experience in Billing Functions is essential Familiarity with NetSuite software is expected Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Relevant certifications in Accounting are desirable.
