Manufacturing Engineer

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to design and maintain manufacturing systems, including capital project and process improvement initiatives, in a food manufacturing setting.This position will:

Oversee capital projects including justification, selection, contract negotiations, purchases, installation, and commissioning

Identify and implement process engineering initiatives by observations on the production floor and coordination with cross functional teams to achieve measurable process improvements

Support manufacturing operations with presence on the production floor

Ensure product optimization from concept to manufacturing by working closely with the product development teamIdeally, candidates will have the following experience/knowledge:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering

5+ years food, beverage, or pet food manufacturing experience

Ability to troubleshoot, make corrections, and remedy manufacturing issues

Ability to present findings, offer suggestions and solutions to a cross functional team

Ability to communicate and negotiate contract terms with vendors

Utilize AutoCAD or similar software to generate drawings, process flow diagrams as well as process and instrumentation drawings in support of capital projects
