The Director of Product Management, ESG, is the product lead for Workiva's ESG and sustainability customers. As a key leader on the ESG team, this involves directing people and product direction for our major investments in sustainability, helping us grow our customers, delight users and work cross-functionally in R&D, Design/UX and research to achieve our business objectives. This role requires the ability to learn quickly, test new ideas, and drive disciplined decision-making, as well as the ability to execute, monitor results, and adjust. The ideal individual will be highly adaptable to change, eager to operate in a fast-paced environment with urgency, and capable of leading in such an environment.What You'll DoDiscovery and Product ManagementUnderstand and Identify customer needs, validate solutions, address pain points, and ensure products meet customer needsRepresent the voice of the ESG customer across the organizationManage the i2i life cycle, taking ownership from ideation through implementation and ensuring product and market fitDefine the product roadmap to ensure we are building the right solutions for customers as well as future target customersIdentify and resolve potential problems, ensuring alignment with broader business goalsAccelerate growth by leading the design and development of product capabilities to increase retention, reduce churn, and acquire new customersProduct LeadershipAuthor and maintain product vision and strategy, define priorities and OKRs, and establish success criteriaBuild and Mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and mentorship and fostering Workiva's culture as a great place to workConduct regular product reviews and analyze product performance metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvementLead Product Managers to deliver against business OKRsStakeholder Management and LeadershipWork closely with PMO, Solution Engineering, Solutions Development Consulting, Partners, and Technical Solutions within Growth, as well as collaborate with cross-functional aligned departments (R&D, Customer and Partner Experience, Sales, and Product Marketing)Manage relationships with product teams, internal stakeholders, sales, partners, and customersAlign with the product management team, inform stakeholders of strategy and goals, and collaborate with product marketing on go-to-market strategyWhat You'll NeedMinimum Qualifications10+ years related product management experience in software development or a related fieldUndergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related fieldPreferred Qualifications5+ years direct people management experience preferred, including leading directors and managers in product organizationMBA preferredExperience leading and/or managing multiple functions of an operationProven success driving product strategy and product releases in a comparable environmentSelf-motivated with strong propensity for action, results and continuous improvementAbility to work successfully in a high-energy, fast paced, rapidly changing environmentExpertise in product management from inception to go-to-marketAbility to handle ambiguity, change and adapt to new priorities, as well as lead others to accomplish new goals as needed to support the businessDemonstrated desire to learn about, explore and understand new business problems, personas and technology landscapesDisciplined in critical thinking and testing new ideas and solutions rapidly and with urgency, as well as understanding longer term implicationTravel Requirements & Working ConditionsUp to 25% travelReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva officeHow You'll Be RewardedSalary range in the US: $167,000.00 - $284,000.00 A discretionary bonus typically paid annually Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire 401(k) match and comprehensive employee benefits packageThe salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this job in the US.
