The Assoc Ops Sup Analyst role in the Financial Services Investigations team is responsible for in depth investigation and research as well as working with business partners to ensure timely resolution of outstanding general ledger differences. In addition, this role supports new projects / initiatives impacting Financial Services Investigation teams, improving workflow controls and reducing operational risks. Analyze, present, and make data-driven recommendations to senior management and finance partners. Support lean methodologies for improved process efficiencies, without compromising controls. Responsible for supporting FAEM reduction and ongoing key initiatives that pertain to Financial Services Investigations.Analyze group production trends and process flows, support projects and key initiatives, validating process sustainability, and monitoring of investigations. Supports case resolution according to general ledger aging standards, adherence to financial controls and regulatory guidelines. Monitors case types for trends and provide root cause analysis to business partners (Fraud, Legal, Compliance) to reduce risk and promote process improvements. Ensures open items are resolved timely in adherence to banking practices, controls and regulatory guidelines.Responsibilities:
Monitoring the accounts for outstanding items ensuring appropriate and timely escalations and resolution to ensure meeting aging general ledger benchmark standards.
Monitoring and assigning workflow to ensure completion daily; ability to step in and assist with processing/approving when needed.
Updating procedures, ARCMs and controls when applicable for all processes.
Training and coaching team on various processes
Prepare basic presentations for management as well as be able to speak to accounts within responsibility and paths to issue resolution.
Hold calls with business partners and technology to work through breaks and aged outstanding differences.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citibank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
2-3 years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of Business Banking, Citi Commercial and Consumer Banking Products and Services as well as accounting and reconciliation experience would be beneficial
Proficient in Microsoft Office, most importantly Excel
Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
