Description We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish) Senior Member Services Specialist to join our San Jose team. In this role, you will be responsible for encouraging the utilization of benefits, providing education on eligibility, claims, and healthcare, and resolving issues for our members. You will travel between San Jose, Yosemite, and Monterey to ensure a strong on-site presence and provide in-person support.Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for participants, unions, employers, providers, and vendors.

Provide detailed information about benefit plans and eligibility to various stakeholders.

Conduct telephonic enrollment and in-person outreach, including hosting and attending enrollment events.

Educate participants by phone, in-person, and at worksites, including giving presentations.

Record and address telephone and walk-in inquiries regarding plan benefits.

Perform root cause analysis on inquiries and recommend improvements.

Maintain current knowledge of systems, processes, policies, and plan benefits.

Seek management assistance for unresolved issues and maintain awareness of work volumes and service levels.

Participate in special projects and set measurable goals.

Assist participants in navigating programs to improve their health.

Work outside traditional office hours and locations to reach participants as needed.

Utilize effective listening skills to identify and communicate issues to management.

Conduct research on benefit issues and initiate corrective actions.

Train Member Services staff on complex skills and handle escalated complaints.

Suggest improvements to benefit materials, forms, and processes.

Requirements

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in healthcare, insurance, union, or community engagement environments.

Fluent in Spanish (bilingual).

Comfortable with traveling and working through our reimbursement protocol for travel expenses (25%-50% travel).

Experience in customer service and call centers.

Strong preference for candidates with experience in diverse communities.

Associate's degree in Business or Healthcare Administration or equivalent work experience.

Salary & Work Schedule:

Hourly rate: $26.92 - $33.03 (based on experience, qualifications, certifications, and location).

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) in a hybrid/remote setting.
