Position Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Systems Administrator to optimize and manage our infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience with VMware and various cloud providers, with a focus on self-serve solutions and smaller cloud services; they will play a key role in automating tasks, integrating infrastructure components, maintaining operating systems, and contributing to the ongoing modernization of our technology stacks. The ability to multi-task and pivot quickly is essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage infrastructure across private and public clouds.
Develop and implement automation with tools such as: Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.
Integrate various infrastructure components to create a cohesive and efficient environment.
Build, configure, and maintain Linux and Windows operating systems.
Handle the full lifecycle management of client-based infrastructure.
Diagnose and resolve application issues.
Manage and optimize application stacks to improve reliability, and automation capacity.
Provide support and management for CDN services.
Drive the modernization of our technology stacks, focusing on observability, analytics, delivery, and back-end systems.
Skills:
Experience with VMware, and cloud providers
Proficiency in automation to generate infrastructure as code
Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with web servers such as NGINX, streaming applications and utilities like Icecast, FFMPEG, and Liquidsoap
Proficient in scripting and programming languages. Commonly in use: Bash, Python, Golang, and PHP, with the ability to create proof-of-concept solutions
Soft Skills:
Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership
Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying and resolving potential issues
Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly to changing priorities
Benefits:
Competitive salary range: $70,000 to $90,000 per year
