Incumbents function as managers who train, supervise and evaluate the performance of subordinate supervisors; develop policies and procedures; and allocate staff and resources to accomplish goals and objectives.The Division of Public and Behavioral Health Lake's Crossing Center in Sparks, NV, a maximum-security facility for mentally disordered offenders, is recruiting for a Correctional Lieutenant position. Under the direction of the Agency Director, the Correctional Lieutenant directly supervises seven (7) Forensic Specialist IV's. This position will have administrative responsibility for planning, organizing, supervising and assisting with subordinate staff, maintaining the overall security of the facility by developing, implementing and adhering to policies and procedures. This position will serve as a member of the treatment team and sponsor clients and will also conduct internal investigations as assigned by the Director.
