BearHand Construction, a Veteran-owned small business known for craftsmanship and transparency, is seeking a Junior Carpenter to join our growing residential remodeling team. We provide full design-to-finish services with a specialty in whole-home remodels and reconstruction. Most projects are located within 45 minutes of Deering, NH.

Role Overview
The Junior Carpenter will support our lead carpenters in day-to-day residential remodeling work. This is a hands-on learning role where you will gain experience in framing, finish carpentry, drywall, painting, exterior work, and more. You’ll work closely with experienced tradesmen and receive training to advance your skills and responsibilities over time.
Responsibilities
-Assist lead carpenters with a wide range of construction tasks
-Learn to read and interpret construction plans and scopes of work
-Perform carpentry tasks with increasing speed, precision, and quality
-Follow building codes and company standards under supervision
-Maintain a clean and organized job site
-Follow OSHA safety practices
-Communicate professionally with team members and customers
-Support setup, cleanup, material handling, and jobsite logistics
Qualifications
-2–4 years of construction or carpentry experience required
-Basic understanding of residential construction methods
-Willingness to learn framing, finish carpentry, and remodeling tasks
-Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform moderately demanding physical tasks
-Reliable transportation
-Positive attitude, strong work ethic, pride in workmanship
-OSHA-10, RRP, or other certifications are a plus (not required)
-Must be able to pass a criminal background check for major offenses
