In this role you will be a change agent by working on the Pavement Facilities Operations & Maintenance contract.Responsibilities Include:

Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements

Provide technical support to development staff

Assist with the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems

Provide hardware troubleshooting and maintenance

Upgrade firmware when needed

Assist with the support of COTS products

Performing hardware buildouts

Build custom images to conform to FAA security benchmarks

Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media and media is recycled

Repair and recover from hardware or software failures and communicate with impacted constituencies

Configure networking services and protocols

Providing service and customer support during field visits

Diagnosing errors or technical problems and determining proper solutions

Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches

Produce timely and detailed service reports

Documentation and reporting

Follow all company’s and customer filed procedures and protocols

Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization

Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations/briefings

Build positive relationships with customers

Other duties as required

Education:

Bachelor’s degree(in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field) 15 yrs. related experience

Qualifications:

Must have good communication skills

Must be flexible and able to travel when needed

Experience kickstarting processes and procedures

Ability to work efficiently individually or in a team environment

Extensive knowledge and experience with Red Hat software suite ( Red Hat 6 and above)

Experience working with HP, Dell and Cisco products

Knowledge working with HP Openview, Loadrunner, VMWare, Rational software, Oracle, DOORS, SQL, Linux, Unix, Red Hat Satellite Server, Kubernetes, Docker and Java

Knowledge of system vulnerabilities and security issues

The likely salary range for this position is $83,300 - $112,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
