Manage technology evaluations and implementations for Reporting and Data Management needs across multiple Therapeutic Areas

Develops deep understanding of supported technology domain and achieves skill sets required to fully support the system and process

Defines and develops systems integrations and looks for opportunities of automations and continuous improvement areas to build innovative solutions

Creates operational analytics to support ad hoc analyses and metrics reporting utilizing machine learning models

Acts as general technology point of contact and works closely with cross functional groups to troubleshoot data issues or process flow interruptions, as well as potential errors.

Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements, develop optimal solutions, identify and address data integration and interoperability challenges.

Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends in bioinformatics and data architecture to drive innovation and improve data management processes.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to develop data models and structures that enable effective data analysis and interpretation.

Being able to continuously learn and improvise as part of a high-performance team

Ensures adherence to federal regulations and applicable local regulations, Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), ICH Guidelines, AbbVie Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and to functional quality standards. Stays abreast of new and/or evolving local regulations, guidelines and policies related to clinical development. Acts as the clinical data systems SME during regulatory inspections and internal quality audits

QualificationsThis position is required to sit on-site 3 days / week. Preference is from North Chicago, IL, but will consider Florham, NJ or Irvine, CAQualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in management information systems, computer science, information technology, life sciences, engineering or equivalent. Masters preferred.

4+ years of pharmaceutical, clinical research, data management, health care technology experience or 6+ years of broader technology experience.

Must have experience with clinical database design and concepts, data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire and others within a clinical development environment.

Must Have: Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres), UNIX Shell Scripting, Python, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, JavaScript

Good to Have: R, HTML, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, Oracle APEX, Node.JS, React

Demonstrated programming skills and database concepts
