Under the direction of the Provost, the Faculty Affairs Manager for Academic Affairs is responsible the accuracy of faculty data in Banner, statistical reporting of faculty data, and the graduate fellowship process for the division of Academic Affairs, all while exercising independent judgment and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive materials. Core Responsibilities:
Develop and implement policies for all Graduate Fellowship contracts for the division of Academic Affairs; manage, review and provide final approval for all Graduate Fellowship contracts for the division of Academic Affairs
Develop, implement, manage, and assess the Faculty Load and Compensation process for all 4 semesters; develop and present computer based training sessions for college FLAC personnel; create policies where needed in the area of adjunct pay; lead the college FLAC users to a higher level of understanding, accuracy and efficiency to process over 2,000 contracts for each of the Fall and Spring semesters
Collaborate with other departments to identify streamlined reporting procedures as well as identifying data, compiling data and reporting the following:
Reassign Time Reporting - summary of reassign time by college
Adjunct Data Report - adjunct details as required by the AFT
Adjunct Replacement Reports & DCA Processing
In-Load Adjunct Replacement Reporting & Processing
Routinely update and maintain faculty data in Banner to insure accurate reporting of all faculty data
Manage, review and provide final approval for all electronic forms for the Office of the Provost using good judgement and following all Rowan University policies.
At the direction of the Provost, lead a variety of complex projects and assignments and confidential high level administrative and research related support.
Provide coordination for a variety of complex projects and assignments and confidential high level administrative and research related support.
Ensure fiscal responsibility while providing comprehensive and excellent services
Assist the Fiscal Affairs Manager and the Associate Director for Academic Affairs as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree plus 3 years of professional higher education experience
Previous experience and proficiency in the Graduate Fellowship process and the graduate fellowship contract process
Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Expertise with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel
High level customer service attitude
Ability to perform multiple tasks at one time, communicate effectively with faculty, deans and staff, keep information confidential, and to learn and implement detailed procedures
Expertise in Banner Finance; proficiency in Banner HR preferred
Proficiency in PageUp preferred
Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to be an independent, responsible self-starter
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to speak and write effectively
Ability to interact and work effectively with students, faculty, staff and external constituencies from various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Ability to handle multiple demands while maintaining flexibility and adaptability

Ability to prepare statistical and other reports
