CLIENT OVERVIEW:

Our client is a privately held business serving a dynamic segment of the consumer goods industry, focused on providing innovative solutions and exceptional customer support. They are looking to hire a Part-Time Controller to join their team.

SALARY/HOURLY RATE:

$65/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Part-Time Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage financial reporting, support budgeting, handle payroll-related tasks, and ensure accurate month-end and year-end close processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PART-TIME CONTROLLER:

Manage month-end close and general ledger activities.

Prepare financial statements and management reports.

Oversee accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and cash management.

Support payroll and benefits administration.

Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Maintain compliance with GAAP and support external audits.

Provide financial insights and support to leadership.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE PART-TIME CONTROLLER:

5+ years of experience as a Controller or similar role.

Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

Proficiency with general ledger, month-end close, and budgeting.

Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office proficiency.

Experience with Sage 100.

Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE PART-TIME CONTROLLER:

CPA or CMA.

Experience working with foreign subsidiaries or FX/VAT.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience with strong credentials) is required.
