Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Purchase Specialist in Lindenwold, New Jersey. The successful candidate will be responsible for ordering, tracking delivery, and following up with the service department to schedule work upon confirmation of parts. This role is heavily focused on data processing and requires a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.Responsibilities: Ordering parts from existing vendors as requested by service technicians in the field. Tracking the delivery of ordered parts and ensuring their safe arrival. Liaising with the service department to schedule work once the parts are confirmed. Utilizing accounting software systems for data entry and tracking. Maintaining an efficient system for purchasing materials. Handling accounts payable duties as part of the job function. Ensuring all data processing tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Regularly updating and maintaining the Microsoft Excel database with the latest data. Resolving any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the ordering or delivery process. Continuously improving purchasing strategies to ensure cost-effective operations.Requirements Candidate must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Purchase Specialist role or a similar position. Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Experience with Data Processing and Microsoft Excel is necessary. Knowledge and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is essential. Candidate should have experience in Data Entry tasks. Experience in Purchasing Materials is a must. Candidate must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is necessary. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Candidate must have the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure are essential. Candidate must be legally eligible to work in the location of the job. A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
