Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Monmouth County, New Jersey area. The role involves performing a variety of accounting functions, including compiling financial statements, journal entries, and maintaining accurate records. This role also requires an understanding of complex accounting terms and methodologies to analyze and review financial information for accuracy and trends. Responsibilities: Assist in reconciling revenue accounts on a monthly basis Collect, summarize, and interpret financial data to prepare journal entries Review daily bank transactions and record them with appropriate general ledger accounts Analyze credit card expenses and assign appropriate general ledger accounts Update commissions data on a monthly basis Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records Assist with maintaining accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions Assist in preparing information for month/quarter end Provide data summary and ad hoc reporting as necessary Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Proven experience as a Staff Accountant in the Printing/Publishing industry Demonstrable expertise in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and managing the General Ledger Familiarity with Journal Entries and Month End Close processes Experience with bookkeeping and accounting software.
