Non-profit serving Hudson County is seeking experienced cook to prepare meals.
Responsible for planning, cooking and serving well-balanced and nutritious meals daily.
Maintain inventories of food and other supplies required to operate a commercial kitchen and dining room.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and storage areas.
Comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding food safety and sanitary conditions.
Work with and recruit volunteers to assist in meal preparation and/or service.
Job Requirements:
3 plus years of experience in cafeteria cooking setting for a large # of people.
Completion and maintenance of all mandated licensing and training requirements.
Creative and flexible approach to cooking to ensure that well-balanced meals are prepared daily from irregular and/or inconsistent food sources.
The ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks to successful completion.
Excellent oral and written skills, organizational skills, and the ability to interact effectively with co-workers, consumers, and outside contacts are essential.
