Description We are seeking a diligent HR Coordinator to join our team in the steel manufacturing industry based in Plainfield, New Jersey. In this role, you will be providing comprehensive support to the HR team, covering various aspects of human resources, from recruitment to employee engagement. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Responsibilities: Provide direct support to the HR Business Partner and assist the HR division with administrative tasks. Screen resumes, interview potential hires, and coordinate interviews with hiring managers for plant positions. Assist with the recruitment of higher-level positions as needed. Organize and conduct New permanent Orientations to ensure a smooth onboarding process. Handle new permanent paperwork, ensuring all documents are complete and correctly filled out. Audit payroll changes to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist with the processing of paperwork for our plants in Georgia and Indiana. Respond to all employees’ queries, addressing their concerns, and escalating issues to the manager when necessary. Help organize employee events to promote a positive and engaging workplace culture. Use various software systems such as ADP and iCIMS for HR administrative tasks. Requirements Proficiency in Spanish language is required. Must have proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now Experience with ATS - Asynchronous Transfer Mode is necessary Familiarity with Ceridian, Dayforce, and About Time software is preferred Must have excellent auditing skills Should be able to conduct background checks effectively Knowledge of various benefit functions is a must Exceptional communication skills are required Experience with iCIMS software is preferred Previous experience in a steel manufacturing environment would be advantageous Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field is required Strong organizational and time management skills are necessary Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is mandatory Must be able to work independently and in a team setting Familiarity with state and federal labor laws would be beneficial.
