Apply today for this exciting opportunity!The Director is responsible for standing up and qualifying new external manufacturing sites (mostly for Carvykti but not limited to) through a robust tech transfer and commercial readiness process that will ensure reliable product supply to our patients for our second cell therapy asset and the leadership of others doing the same. They will lead Drug Substance & Drug Product external manufacturing from an E2E external supply standpoint. The Director will select, onboard, and qualify new sites to provide the highest quality at the lowest total cost of ownership and achieve maximum relationship value through accelerated innovation, supplier integration, process improvement, and collaboration. This role will build and effectively maintain highly complex external relationships through extensive interaction with key business partners and provide leadership to critical supplier and other segments/functions.Key Responsibilities:

Shape external network & strategy with a heavy focus on operational readiness and ensuring stable supply from designated site(s)

Influence and support ATSC strategy by leading the external landscape related to partners and CMOs.

Benchmark other J&J and partner companies and industries to identify continuous improvement, and best in class processes to support team and business development initiatives.

Deeply understand and communicate evolving market opportunities.

Lead partner assessment and new product implementation in coordination with cross-functional partners (MSAT, Quality, Planning, etc.), including site visits.

Define tech transfer expectations and supply strategy with partners.

Serve as leader of Virtual General Managers with external partners and lead JNJ team in partner management, providing oversight of all activities and financials.

Establish and maintain performance metrics and targets with the goal of tech transfer milestones, on-time readiness, and eliminating inefficiencies/gaps regarding supply, compliance, finance, and strategy.

Partner with procurement in agreement negotiations and ensure proper functional inputs.

Align cross-functional partners to manage compliance to agreements, as well as overall cost management including seeking cost reduction opportunities.

Lead team of 3-4 employees to ensure strong results through effective performance management and development planning.

Coach team members to influence outcomes through detailed understanding of the external and internal landscape.

QualificationsEducation:

Minimum of a Bachelor's or equivalent University Degree required; Master's, MBA, or PhD preferred

Experience and Skills:Required:

Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience and business management

Experience within Pharmaceutical Cell Therapy, Biologics, or other similarly regulated industry

Demonstrated leadership of a cross-cultural and cross-functional team

Strong knowledge of functions including Quality, Technical Operations, Finance, Planning, and/or Procurement

Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain considerations and methods of driving continuous improvement

Demonstrated experience creating and working with negotiated agreements

Demonstrated ability to develop long range strategy based on delivering future needs of customers

Strong influencing skills, with the ability to understand issues from multiple viewpoints

Preferred:

Experience in Cell Therapy and/or Advance Therapy programs

Experience with start up of new facility operations

Experience managing supplier/external relationships

Other:

This role may require up to 25% domestic and/or international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is 146,000 to 252,000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporations performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Companys discretion on an individual basis.
