JOB SUMMARY
Sell food and beverage products to customers, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Also assists in the cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant, lounge area, banquet area, and equipment. Correctly processes guest orders, prints check, presents for payment, and completes cashiering as required. Busses tables and assists in maintaining restaurant cleanliness and ambiance.
JOB DUTIES
1. Provides gracious and courteous guest table service in accordance with hotel standards and checklists
2. Complies with all hotel and government regulations concerning liquor laws, health and safety.
3. Greets customers in a friendly manner, provides menus, and offers to get started on their drink orders.
4. Circulates throughout dining area and checks on patron needs and checks their satisfaction level. Monitors designated work station at all times to ensure that all essential tools and serving ware is well stocked (glasses, spoons, to-go boxes and utensils, check presenters, etc…)
5. Maintains awareness of the tables assigned to ensure that patrons are greeted and tended to promptly after their arrival.
6. Resolve guest complaints when possible or refer to supervisor promptly if assistance is required.
7. Provide all cashiering functions necessary to input order, present check, and process payment for guest. Both accuracy and speed with be emphasized.
8. Busses tables and assists in maintaining restaurant in a neat and clean condition.
9. Complete all opening and closing side-work duties as listed on the Server Side work and Process sheet in the Server Team Leader binder.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS
Physical Requirements
1. Constant standing and walking for up to 10 hours.
2. Must be able to lift and carry a maximum of 25 pounds.
3. Works in a fast paced and noisy environment.
License and Certification
1. Must possess or complete within three weeks of hire, NM Alcohol Server Certification
Education and Experience
1. Prior serving experience preferred
2. Bilingual (English/Spanish) desirable
