VCA Colonial Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced surgery veterinary assistant to join our Surgery team full time.We are a hybrid hospital and proud to be one of the premier providers of primary, specialty and emergency care located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region in Upstate New York.Our 17 doctor hospital serves our clients 24/7/365. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about providing advanced care and management of patients in a specialty setting. In this position you will be supporting our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.Surgery Veterinary Assistant Duties Include
Primary scrub nurse duties
Turn over OR and autoclave instruments
Assisting LVT with surgery prep
Assisting DVM with morning SOAPs
Hands Free Radiology
Greeting clients and patient discharge
Client education and communication
