Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and customer-oriented Counter Person to join our team. As a Counter Person, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling cash transactions, and assisting with food preparation at the pizza counter. Responsibilities:
- Greet customers and provide friendly and efficient service
- Take customer orders and process payments accurately using a cash register
- Assist with food preparation, including assembling orders.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the counter area and dining space
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining experience for customers
- Upsell menu items and promote daily specials to increase sales
- Handle customer inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in the food industry is preferred but not required
- Proficient in cash handling and operating a cash register
- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary terminology is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Familiarity with Micros POS system is a plus
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
