Performs thorough screening of patients prior to procedure.
Prepares patients for examination.
Explains procedure and sets up equipment to administer exam in a timely fashion.
Enters patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from requisition completed by the Radiologist.
Performs specific imaging exam, ensuring quality patient care in accordance with Radiologist's expectations and protocols.
Recognizes and promptly reports patient's motor abnormalities; including, fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist.
Performs minor repairs and frequent calibration checks and adjusts equipment, when necessary.
Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.

Job Qualification
Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.
Current License to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in New York State, and Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
1-3 years of technical experience, required.
Current License to practice as a Certified Radiology Contrast IV Injectionpractitioner in New York State required.
