This is a unique, one-of-a-kind opportunity to work directly with senior leadership on a breadth of important initiatives that will have immediate and long-term impact on the ACLS-NYC Megacampus and the broader NYC life science ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess the core skills and attributes required at Alexandria to grow into a senior leadership position, including, but not limited to, professional tenacity, personal humility, enduring curiosity, and strong interpersonal skills.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Executive Matters and Strategic Planning
Participate in regional strategic planning exercises for the New York City region.
Ideate, plan, and execute exclusive tenant and ecosystem programming.
Act as a critical regional coordinator of the national programming platform and assist with regional thought leadership and ecosystem events.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Organize regional team events and meetings, including volunteer opportunities, and manage the New York City corporate office, including office policies and procedures.
Handle other executive matters and critical projects as requested by the senior leadership team.
Commercial Leasing
Participate in weekly lease prospect meetings and take a lead role in organizing the leasing team.
Support the leasing team in engaging prospective tenants, including preparing marketing materials and property tours.
Conduct market research to analyze trends, performance of competitive supply, and demand in the life science real estate sector.
Evaluate regional market conditions and provide data-driven insights for leasing strategies. Maintain a database of market comps, including lease terms, rental rates, and tenant profiles.
Track and manage key lease terms, expiration dates, and renewals across the Company’s regional portfolio, as well as assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing lease agreements.
Assist with preparing a new company onboarding process, tenant welcome package, access control coordination, visitor/vendor access, and guest registration.
Megacampus Engagement
Directly engage and provide exceptional “white glove” customer service to all tenants in New York City.
Manage tenant communications, including distribution lists, company profiles, events calendar, and marketing emails.
Work closely with Alexandria’s third-party operators for the on-site restaurant and conference center amenities and provide exceptional tenant and ecosystem programming.
Asset Services
Consult directly with the vice president of asset services to assist with strategic planning for the asset services division.
Interface with asset services, Alexandria LaunchLabs®, building IT/AV, building engineering, and vendor teams to ensure timely responses to tenants regarding various property requests.
Coordinate with the asset services team to manage regional amenities and services, including parking/shuttle service operations, hospitality operator management, scientific amenities, and Alexandria Sky Gym™ operations.
Qualifications and Experience:
At least 3 years of experience working in strategic consulting and/or real estate, preferably in a collaborative or shared working environment.
Bachelor’s degree required.
A general interest in life sciences.
Motivated and proactive with a client-focused mindset.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels, provide guidance, and promote great customer service.
Must be detail-oriented and highly organized.
Strong computing proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, with skills to learn proprietary software systems utilized by the Company.
The expected base hourly wage range for this position is $38.46 to $40.87 USD per hour.
