Please note you must be a student enrolled in an accredited college or graduate school to be eligible for the position.The NYC Department of Design and Construction's Human Resources and Staff Development Division seeks a College Aide for the Data Management Unit. The candidate will provide support to the unit by performing tasks such as documenting the end-to-end hiring process by developing and updating the HR logs, spreadsheets and other tracking systems related to recruitment, hiring, retention, and separation activities. Support the development of a cycle time report to track the time it takes for the end-to-end hiring process, as well as key components of the process. Data enter HR-related information received from source documents. Maintain controls on items submitted for processing and ensure data entry is done in a timely manner. Validate the accuracy of HR/Vacancy information before and after data entry. The candidate should have the ability to review and critically assess HR/Vacancy information reflected in the cycle time report. Undertake other general office management functions and perform other related assignments and special projects as may be required.

For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow): Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications. SPECIAL NOTE Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels in the title of College Aide is 6 years. No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session.
