Manages the nursing unit ensuring that it functions properly and safely on a 24-hour basis.
Reviews the medical record to ensure compliance.
Conducts environmental rounds and follows up with resolution.
Assigns duties to licensed personnel and supervises ancillary personnel. Ensures timely completion and submission of all unit reports.
Displays ownership of their unit, supervising on a 24-hour basis and communicating with staff on all 3 shifts to be fully apprised of all events taking place.
Assesses need for additional or needed equipment.
Shift: 7:30am-3:30pm (some flexibility may be required). Hard Skills
BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of 4 years clinical experience
At least 2 years of management experience, preferably in a geriatric setting
