We are seeking 2 full time Prep Cook to join our culinary team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the chefs in delivering high-quality dishes to our guests.
HOURS: FULL-TIME. 36-40 hours a week. Monday-Friday 8am - 4pm
PAY: $18/Hour
Responsibilities
Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring spices.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
Help with menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and food processors.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
Support the team in various food handling tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing dishes.
Experience
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in meal preparation or as a cook.
Familiarity with food handling practices and safety regulations is essential.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques are advantageous.
Experience as a dietary aide or in food service roles can be beneficial but is not required.
A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment is crucial for success in this role.
