One of the Upper West Side's coolest new restaurants is seeking a experienced, professional and passionate manager who is motivated, organized and detail-oriented to assist owner in all aspects of our business. The ideal candidate is business-minded, a problem-solver and has outstanding interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities include:

Assist owner in all back office functions, including product inventory, payroll, accounts payable, food and labor cost analyses and P&L.

Respond to email and phone inquiries about extra large parties and private events. Help devise event formats and pricing.

Enhancing the company’s social media presence to promote sales.

Devise creative and effective strategies to promote our restaurant and increase revenue via promotions, special events, menu additions, community outreach, etc.

Hire, train and supervise front of house staff. Continuously assess company’s staffing needs. Coordinate, maintain and disseminate staff schedule.

Formalize, communicate and enforce all company policies, procedures and standards. Foster a clean, respectful and inclusive work environment.

Oversee and ensure efficiency and organization of service, including, but not limited to:

-Convene and lead pre-shift front-of-house meeting with relevant updates to menu/specials/prices, configuration of tables for first seating, assignment of server sections.

-Greet and seat guests.

-Ensure steady pace and smoothness of service.

-Monitor the entire front-of-house to ensure cleanliness, comfort and safety standards are met. Lighting, temperature, restroom cleanliness, supplies, etc.

-Help with duties of other front-of-house employees when necessary.

-Address guest concerns in a polite and constructive manner and follow up as necessary.

-Answer phone and assisting callers.

-Help servers to resolve POS issues, collection of shift summaries.

-Assignment of opening, closing and side duties.

Promote cooperative effort, team spirit, inclusion, mutual respect and strong morale among employees.

Qualifications:

NYC Food Protection Certificate.

Strong understanding of all aspects food and beverage service, safety, sanitation, dining room and facilities operations, proficiency in reservation and POS platforms.

Comprehensive knowledge of restaurant financials, including profit and loss (P&L), budgeting, food and labor costs.

Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in restaurant management.

Availability to work mornings, evenings and weekends, as required.

Dynamic and personable demeanor to engage warmly and effectively with guests and staff.

Strong leadership, time management and communication skills.
