A Brooklyn-based artist is seeking a full-time studio assistant to support daily operations in a hands-on studio environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and comfortable with some physical work.
> Primary responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the production of artwork (mixing paint, prepping clay, and handling the many small tasks that go into the art-making process)
- General studio maintenance and organization
- Safely handling and moving artworks, including heavy or fragile pieces. Expect some heavy lifting every so often, so must be able to lift at least 50 lbs!
- Experience in any craft-oriented fields such as painting, woodworking, ceramics, etc… is a plus, but not required. We’re always excited to meet candidates with skills in all kinds of mediums, whether or not they overlap with the materials we use.
We're looking for someone who’s passionate about hands-on work and not afraid of physical tasks. The day-to-day can vary: some days are busy and fast-paced, others are slower and more repetitive, so flexibility is key. There will be on-the-job training, so a good attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to take direction are essential to succeeding in this role.

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. (We are not hiring for part-time roles.)
Location: Gowanus, Brooklyn
Pay: $21/hour + 2 weeks paid time off accrued over the year
