We are looking for a Wood Shop Assistant who is able to do both hand and machine sanding, is familiar with fillers and resins, and has a keen understanding of wood. The Shop Assistant will also help woodworkers with glue-ups and other tasks, move materials and furniture as needed, receive deliveries, keep supply inventories in order, and perform general shop chores such as attending to building interior and exterior, general maintenance and cleaning, organize storage, and general handyman tasks.
Candidate must be reliable and detail-oriented and have strong communication skills. Experience in a wood shop or with antiques and fine furniture is a major plus.
