Regional Operations Manager - REMOTE

Our client, a travel and leisure company, is seeking an experience regional operations manager. This role will be REMOTE, but EAST COAST is heavily preferred.

Implement and monitor strategies for the seamless delivery of tours and experiences, including inventory management, transportation, and supplier relationships.

Provide expert leadership to the regional operations team, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and a high level of team performance.

Collaborate with the global operations team, sharing best practices and ensuring consistencies across regions.

Streamline and standardize operational processes across all cities, aiming to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Identify opportunities for automation and technology integration to enhance operational effectiveness.

Gather data on operational performance in each city, analyze trends, and report regularly to the Global Strategic Team.

Identify potential operational risks and develop and implement risk mitigation strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards in each city of operation.

Monitor North American operations spending and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising the guest experience.

Lead regional customer service activities.

Lead the incident and crisis response procedure for North America (e.g., extreme weather events, operational disruptions due to political events or attraction closures).

Ensure high-quality product performance in East Coast North America by assessing customer feedback, including NPS, and collaborating with the product team to implement continuous improvement strategies.

Travel to different locations as required to meet guides, assess operations, and provide support.

Identify local sales opportunities, working with local teams to source, implement, and drive local ancillary revenue projects to boost local P&L.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field, or relevant work experience.

3+ years experience leading people, with remote team leadership being a plus.

Experience in an operational role within the travel industry.

Outstanding organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient in a wide range of software applications including G-Suite, CRM, Slack, Monday, etc., and able to learn and understand new applications.

Strong communication skills, able to translate business objectives and needs into tangible goals and outcomes for a diverse team.

Demonstrated understanding of data-driven decision-making, i.e., collecting and using operational data to make informed business decisions.

Familiarity with basic incident management processes and some experience managing operational incidents is an advantage.
